The Manager, Salesforce Marketing Cloud will be the subject matter expert in full-stack development specializing in the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform.
It’s a hands-on position and will manage a small team of Developers in support of the implementation, monitoring, data input and integration, maintenance, and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
This role will support the Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, and Residential team in ongoing campaigns, systems maintenance, and cross-team initiatives.
This role is based in Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Toronto Corporate Office, reporting to Senior Director, Residential & Hotel Digital IT Operations.
This role involves interactions with primarily internal stakeholders at various levels.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business Operations :
Holds regular check-ins with team members and stakeholders to plan the backlog, roadmap future projects, and ensure current projects are on track.
Collaboration with stakeholders to solicit business requirements & translate them into technical solutions
Is consulted regarding technical feasibility, effort, and planning for standard projects
Provide suggestions for new features that bring value to the business
Technology Operations, Management, & Execution :
Create email templates from scratch that work on all supported devices with complex levels of personalization and dynamic rendering
Create journeys, automations and scripted processes to bring campaigns to life, and understanding the correct tools to use for each project or campaign
Able to refactor legacy code and re-vamp old emails or campaigns
Create uniquely complex / difficult content modules to work with emails (ie. Weather Widget)
Writing and automation SQL queries in Automation Studio and Query studio to manipulate large amounts of data, and understanding how to implement solutions that won’t exceed SFMC limits
Implement creative solutions for difficult problems regarding email rendering or backend requirements.
Design and implement solutions for integrations with external systems
Leads the planning and execution for sunsetting features, migrations or adopting new technologies / features
Leadership & Relationship Management :
Prioritize competing priorities for themselves and the team, communicate clearly and frequently, and create project plans and schedules.
Provide mentorship for both peers and junior developers’ professional development.
Stay up to date with industry news, changes and SFMC features
Platform Management & Administration :
Standardize code review process & participate in code review to ensure high quality of code base.
Establish coding styles, standards, and best practices.
Maintain and curate code snippets and content library.
Review and assess standards & processes on regular basis, implementing improvements frequently.
Ensure alignment between all teams over long term.
Able to maintain SFMC Connector integration with SFDC and understand the sync process.
Daily administrative work such as creating / modifying sender profiles, updating system configuration settings, updating UTM parameters, creating users and updating permissions / roles, etc.

What You Bring
5+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and implementation.
College or University degree. Post-secondary education / certification in a relevant field.
This role will be a Hybrid working model, which will require 3 days per week in the Four Seasons Corporate Office located at 1165 Leslie Street, Toronto, Ontario #LI-Hybrid
