You as a Civil Superintendent will :

  • Plan, schedule, direct crews within the budget and timeline assigned
  • Provide leadership and training to General Foreman, Foreman and other field staff
  • Work with the Safety Advisors to ensure the work is performed safely
  • Plan the construction function to establish an affective organization.
  • Direct the overall construction program of the project
  • Ensure project is meeting construction schedule
  • Provide leadership to promote maximum productivity on site

Is this the right role for you?

  • Minimum 7 years of experience working as a Superintendent is required
  • 7-10 years experience in heavy civil, early site works, road building, grading / drainage, undergrounds and foundations is required
  • Experience related to Industrial (Oil / Gas / Petrochem / Mining) is an asset
  • Software is heavily used within the organization processes; the candidate must have strong computer skills and have previous experience working with software programs such as : Microsoft Office (Excel), and Proprietary Software
  • You have a working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively with project teams and stakeholders
  • You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes and produce workable solutions
  • Must have Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate, WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II, and Leadership for Safety Excellence
  • Travel is required with this position; candidate must have a valid drivers license, and a reliable means of transportation. A driver’s abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
