Your role

Join our team as a Project Mangaerwith the Toronto business unitteam.

In this role, you will contribute to our client's successes by helping them build amazing workplaces, businesses, and communities around the Toronto and GTA regions.

You will bring a wealth of experience having managed construction projects in the corporate, retail, industrial and / or hospitality sector(s).

Responsibilities

Leadership :

  • Demonstrate company values and cultural behaviours
  • Lead development of Assistant Project Managers on your projects
  • Delegate and empower Assistant Project Managers
  • Build a personal brand

Growth :

  • Grow sales inside existing accounts
  • Find opportunities to crossline selling in accounts you manage
  • Grow your Fee Income Managed on your projects

Management :

  • Manage project delivery teams to deliver the quality required by the client
  • Manage implementation of the work breakdown structure
  • Escalate project deliver and commercial / financial issues to Project Lead

Quality :

  • Responsible for implementing all work on your projects is delivered in accordance with our Quality Management System
  • Responsible for Client Satisfaction

Qualifications

  • A university or college degree or diploma in engineering, architecture, civil, construction management or (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
  • 5+ years of experience in project coordination and management for significant projects in corporate, industrial, and / or warehouse sectors
  • Knowledge in the design and operation of building systems including, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical Distribution and Building Automation
  • Experience delivering on multiple projects such as tenant fit-up / improvement and ground up projects from concept to completion
  • Experience managing design consultants and constuction teams for projects within hospitality, retail, industrial and / or corporate sectors
  • Strong knowledge of various project and construction delivery methodologies, project management models and financial management, as well as building codes, contract law and relevant legislation
  • Professional industry credentials such as PMP, LEED AP,
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven ability to effectively influence others and resolve client, project, and technical issues
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel
