Job Description
The International Office Specialist position will require the successful candidate to work out of the Import office along with the International Management Team.
In this position the individual is expected to motivate employees and to meet deadlines by directing employees to effectively meet department goals and objectives.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Must be flexible with start / finish time
- Strong sense of urgency and good time management
- Strong understanding of International methods & procedures
- Train existing employee and new hires
- Document training provided and observed in employee training packets. (review results with employees and management team)
- OJS and re-certify existing employees (i.e. methods, SWM, etc )
- Participate in goal setting for administrative employee performance appraisal reviews
- Provide employees with positive & constructive feedback as needed with regards to work standards / performance
- Work with customer counter employees in terms of coaching, assisting with escalated customer concerns etc
- Maintain employee records (Profiles / attendance)
- Planning and coordinating employee work schedules and vacation
- Assist with projects and tasks assigned by Supervisor / Manager
- Verify and authorize employee time cards
- Supply ordering and Invoice processing
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Fully Bilingual
- Strong communication / people skills
- Good knowledge of UPS Internal Systems (ETT, OPSYS, ISPSYS etc.)
- Troubleshooting Capabilities
- Ability to make quick decisions
- MSOffice (Excel, Word, Internet Explorer )
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Strong International knowledge with regards to processes
- Post Secondary Degree
