Full Time Position - Intermediate Project Designer - Calgary SE for both permanent and contract

Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Design, The Project Designer is responsible for developing detailed engineering models and drawings for modular process, compression and power generation packages in a plant environment.

As a member of a Custom Project Team in a fast paced, time sensitive manufacturing environment, the ideal candidate will work as a Project Designer executing all aspects of project design.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

• Using AutoCAD 2020 and CADWorx 2020 Plant 3D design software,
• Creating complex models focused on compression and process packages working closely with our Engineering Team
• Generating piping isometric drawings with Isogen,
• Producing detailed design drawings of structural skids, auxiliary drawings and materials lists for the engineering and production functions.

Qualifications

• Diploma from accredited Post-Secondary Institute (SAIT, NAIT, etc) EDDT program or Process Piping Technologist
• 3 to 10 years of Project Design related experience
• Experience with AutoCAD Release 2017 or greater
• Familiarity with CADWorx Plant Pro piping design software is a must
• Excellent time management, organization and communication skills
• Demonstrated focus on quality, accuracy and thoroughness
• A results-oriented attitude with solid analytical, critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Flexibility in work hours to accommodate the project schedules
