Academic Critical Care Hospitalist / Nocturnist

The Hawkesbury and District General Hospital (HGH) is seeking Hospitalists to join its dynamic medical team.

HGH is a family and patient-centred bilingual regional hospital. We provide essential services to the residents of Prescott-Russell and the surrounding region. As the majority of the population we serve is francophone, fluency in both French and English is a requirement.

Clinical Setting and Duties

Our team of 29 Hospitalists works on a rotation to cover our 3-physician hospitalist groups and 1 physician Continuing Complex Care group. Physicians are on-call and are generally scheduled for 7 days (Friday-Thursday) for general inpatient care or 5 days (Monday-Friday) in Rehab / CCC. Half weeks of on-call are also available.

Qualifications

• Certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification
• Independent practice license from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
• Valid ACLS certification
