Virtual Design Construction (VDC) Technology Manager
Position Responsibilities :
Lead the development and implementation of VDC strategies company wideCollaborate with project teams to integrate VDC into all phases of construction, from pre-construction through project completionAssist in the pursuit and delivery of design-build projectsOversee the adoption and utilization of design technologiesDevelop and maintain company-wide standards for VDC processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all projectsResearch and evaluate new software, tools, and methodologies to keep the company at the forefront of industry technologyWork closely with related personnel to ensure seamless coordination and execution of VDC processesProvide technical support and troubleshooting for VDC-related challenges during project development and executionEnsure that all VDC deliverables are accurate, timely, and align with project goals and client expectationsImplement quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of virtual designsIdentify and mitigate risks associated with VDC processes, including potential design clashes, budget overruns, and timeline delaysServe as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding VDC-related inquiries and updatesPresent VDC models and processes to clients, ensuring transparency and understanding of project progress and decisionsDevelop and deliver training programs for internal teams to enhance their VDC capabilitiesQualifications :
5+ years of experience leading teams in a VDC, BIM, or related role within the commercial Mechanical, MEP, HVAC construction industryBachelor’s degree in a related fieldStrong understanding of construction processes, architectural design, and engineering principlesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex conceptsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlinesBenefits :
