partner staffing on behalf of our Client We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Environmental Project Manager to lead and execute environmental projects in the Vancouver region. The successful candidate will manage diverse projects focused on environmental assessments regulatory compliance remediation and sustainability initiatives. This role requires exceptional project management skills technical expertise and a passion for environmental stewardship.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead the planning execution and delivery of environmental projects ensuring they meet client expectations timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee and conduct environmental impact assessments site investigations and risk assessments.
  • Collaborate with clients regulatory agencies and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and compliance.
  • Ensure all projects comply with federal provincial and municipal environmental regulations and standards.
  • Prepare detailed project reports technical documents and presentations for clients and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Identify and implement sustainable solutions to reduce the environmental footprint of projects.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5 years of experience managing environmental projects preferably in Western Canada.
  • Strong understanding of federal and provincial environmental regulations (e.g. BC Environmental Management Act).
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Professional designation (e.g. P.Eng. RP.Bio. P.Ag. P.Geo. or PMP) is an asset.
  • Strategic thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and technical reportwriting skills.

    About the Opportunity Our Client is currently seeking a Senior Biologist to join the team. Preference is for candidates to be based out of Fort St James, Fort St John, and Prince George, BC. However, we will consider candidates that reside outside of these areas. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to : Leading and joining field teams in various disciplines (wildlife, birds, fish, aquatic habitat, water quality, vegetation, soils, wetlands, environmental monitoring, sediment, and erosion control) Contributing to environmental impact assessments, mitigation plans, and proposals. Assisting in preparing and obtaining regulatory approvals for a wide variety of projects such as transportation, renewable energy, mining, oil, and gas, etc. Senior level responsibilities could include Field Coordination and Project Management Technical leadership and mentorship within a team environment Promoting a strong safety culture and working collaboratively within corporate culture More About You To qualify, you will need a minimum of a B.Sc. in Biology or related discipline with five years experience, and RPBio, PBiol, and / or P.Ag. designation or eligibility. Courses or certifications in the following areas would be considered assets : Electrofishing Certification (approved by WorkSafe BC) Fish identification Bird survey methodology and bird identification Amphibian salvage methodology and amphibian identification Erosion and Sediment Control Plant identification Candidates with the following skills and experience will be considered : Sound knowledge of field techniques and regulatory standards necessary for conducting a variety of field activities (i.e., wildlife assessments, bird surveys, water quality, fisheries inventories / salvage, environmental monitoring / inspection) Knowledge of the provincial and federal environmental assessment regulatory environment Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management skills and physically fit Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent writing and communication skills, desire to grow business, and work closely (both in a field lead and support role) with other environmental professionals, environmental discipline leads, and First Nations Proficiency in the operation of field equipment is an asset Due to the nature of the role, you must have a valid Driver\'s License. Lastly, you will be joining with the passion to contribute and believe in the work that they do.
