Canada's Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) program is one of the country's most longstanding and largest tax incentive programs (50 years and $4bn annually). It is intended to create a supportive environment for R&D and foster technological innovation. KPMG's Tax Incentives Practice (TIP) consists of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists and accountants, that assist our clients to obtain tax savings and grants through incentive programs like SR&ED .
KPMG is currently seeking a technology-trained professional to join its GTA TIP team. The opportunity is for an engineering or computer science trained / experienced professional working in the Software Development space who is seeking to transition and grow into a consulting role.
In this role, you will directly engage with the client C-Suite, Lead Architects and Directors of Engineering to assess projects for SR&ED value. During discussions with clients, you will assist in identifying software and / or engineering related activities that qualify for the SR&ED program or other technology related incentives (e.g. grants).
