Job Title : Logistics Associate Reports to : Logistics and Distribution Manager Location : Halifax (On-Site / Hybrid) Remote a possibility.  About Cove Soda Cove Soda is a trailblazer in crafting organic, probiotic beverages that deliver outstanding taste and quality across North America. As we continue to grow and expand, we are searching for a motivated Logistics Associate to join our dynamic team.  Job Summary  The Logistics Associate will support the logistics and operations team in managing shipments, dock bookings, customs paperwork, and transportation planning across North America. This entry-level role is perfect for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn the ins and outs of supply chain operations. You will work closely with third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and help ensure timely and accurate shipment execution to major U.S. retailers. Key Responsibilities Shipment Coordination :  Assist in managing inbound and outbound shipments, including LTL and FTL, ensuring on-time delivery. Coordinate dock appointments and shipment bookings with 3PLs and distribution centers. Prepare and review shipping documents (BOLs, customs paperwork, packing lists, etc.). Data Entry and System Management :  Maintain accurate shipment records in the Transportation Management System (TMS). Update and track shipment statuses and inventory movements in relevant systems. Ensure timely and accurate documentation for customs compliance. Collaboration and Support :  Work closely with internal teams (Logistics, Production, Quality) and external partners (carriers, 3PLs). Support the Logistics Manager in day-to-day operations and reporting. Identify potential shipment issues and escalate to the manager as needed. Reporting and Analysis :  Generate reports to monitor logistics performance and shipment accuracy. Assist with logistics cost tracking and analysis. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience :  2+  years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain (preferred). Basic understanding of U.S. shipment processes, LTL / FTL, and customs paperwork. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with TMS or ERP systems (preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Preferred Experience :  Experience working with 3PLs and major U.S. retailers. Familiarity with dock booking procedures and customs regulations. Knowledge of organic or food and beverage logistics (a plus). Attributes :  Eager to learn and grow in the logistics field. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Why Join Us? At Cove Drinks, we’re building something special.
