Job Title : Bilingual (Portuguese-speaking) Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Location : Hamilton, Ontario, L8P

About the Role :

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Portuguese-speaking Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario.

In this role, you’ll provide essential support and care to clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. We’re looking for a candidate passionate about making a difference, with the skills to deliver high-quality, culturally-sensitive care.

Apply only if you are a qualified PSW from a Canadian college or have at least three years of PSW experience in Canada.

Responsibilities :

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and other nutritional needs.
• Monitor clients’ health conditions and promptly report any changes.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Assist with mobility and exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare staff to create individualized care plans.

Requirements :

• Valid certification as a Personal Support Worker.
• Clear criminal record check.
• Fluent in Portuguese and English to ensure clear communication with clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanour.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle (preferred but not required).
