Orium is seeking a Software Developer who approaches technology with curiosity, to contribute to our evolving offerings around retail data platform engineering and composable.
In this role, you'll report to the Software Development Manager and you'll work as part of a cross-functional team to help lead the exploration, experimentation, and development of our service offerings around retail and composable.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for Order Management System (OMS) and Point of Sale (POS) systems, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to develop and maintain APIs and middleware for seamless system data exchange.
- Track and document support requests and incidents using a ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders.
- Analyze incident trends to identify recurring issues and recommend proactive measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Work closely with software developers to validate changes, conduct regression testing, and ensure new functionalities meet business requirements.
- Provide feedback on system improvements and collaborate on the development of new solutions to enhance retail operations.

Skills and Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience as a software engineer, with at least 2 years of hands-on experience with retail commerce data infrastructure (e-commerce preferably composable commerce)
- Hands-on experience working with one or more global cloud service providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (Preferably AWS)
- Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and developing microservices-based applications.
- Deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and Software Engineering principles
- Strong experience with Scripting languages (Preferably Python)
- Experience with event-driven systems, including queuing and AWS Lambda.
- Experience working with retail data platforms (i.e. POS or OMS) and real-time data management using event streams is preferred
- Experience working with headless / microservices architectures, including digital commerce technologies such as NewStore, Adyen, Avalarra, commerce tools, and Elastic Path Commerce Cloud is an asset
