What you'll do :
- Provide Leadership of the Finance function, which includes general accounting, cost management, budgeting, payroll and / or IT
- Drive the financial planning of the Local Co-op
- Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems
- Analyze the financial performance of the Local Co-op as well as possible risks and investments
- Keep abreast of financial trends, best practices and impacts to CRS. On an as-needed basis, collaborates with FCL Home Office / Zone and other Local Co-ops to ensure consistency of programs and strategies across the CRS
- Develops and fosters strong working relationships within the leadership team, actively participates in strategic planning and decision-making for the Local Co-op and the development and implementation of policies and programs for the Local Co-op
- Works effectively within the governance structure of the organization, supporting the GM with communicating and reporting to the Board where appropriate
- Leads complex, cross functional projects
- Oversees research and makes recommendations to the GM / CEO on trends and required strategies, Recommends capital equipment needs, service agreements, and purchase contracts
- Actively contribute to organizational decision making and establishes, implements, and maintains strategic plans, programs, and policies
- Oversee all audit and internal control operations
- Assess and modify accounting and controlling policies and programs to meet requirements to support Local Co-op needs
- Oversees the preparation of budgets / forecasts and the maintenance of general / cost accounting, payroll, payables, and receivables
- Provide financial analysis and interpretation of budget variances to advise and guide leaders
- Analyze General Ledger accounts and other audit files as needed
- Set targets for and provide leadership to the Finance team of professionals. Responsible for the talent management cycle, including recruitment, development and training, performance management, etc.
- Develop and implement the functional business plan and associated budget. This includes periodically developing and delivering presentations on a broad range of topics to a broad audience
- Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance as required

Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).You have a strong understanding of the Co-operative business modelCPA certification is preferredExperience with JD Edwards software is an assetStrong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, proficient in ExcelThis is a full-time position based on 40hrs / week, regular office hours are 8 : 00AM - 5 : 00PM with the occasional requirement to work on a weekend as projects require.
