POSITION OVERVIEW
The Analyst, Online Financing is responsible for supporting BDC’s digital strategies around small loan applications. The incumbent gathers, analyzes and interprets the information provided by the client obtained via different platforms and third- party reports.
The Analyst determines the eligibility and requirements then takes action on the next steps of the loan prequalification.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Review incoming loan application packages for completeness ensuring an efficient file management in accordance with BDC online process requirements.
Support team by managing the pipeline for all loan applications and any other administrative tasks.
Conduct preliminary investigation and due diligence activities for loan applications. Decline proposals that are not within BDC online process parameters, policies and procedures in a timely and efficient manner.
Move the other loan applications quickly into next steps by performing credit bureau reviews and ensuring OSFI and environment requirements are properly assessed and documented.
Prepare letters to clients (e.g., letter of offer, letter of amendment, etc.) ensuring that all necessary information and document have been entered in the systems, coordinate required signatures on forms and execute follow-ups for completion.
Enter client / prospect data into the various BDC applications, ensuring high quality and accuracy.
Provide excellent customer experience in the resolution of basic client issues and escalate complex issues to senior team members.
Maintain good relationships with internal and external partners to foster teamwork and the pursuit of common objectives.
Keep abreast of changes to policies, procedures and detail processes and trends in credit and regulatory issues that may have an impact on BDC so as to be able to promote BDC products and services.
Provide support to other teams when required.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in commerce or related field
1 to 3 years of experience in a related field
Aptitude for learning new software
Excellent analytical skills
Excellent communication skills
Strong business acumen and client focus
Good time management and priority setting skills in order to meet critical deadlines
Team player with a thorough understanding of the dynamics of the small business environment
Detailed oriented and organized
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint
English is required, bilingualism (English / French preferable) is an asset
