In this role you will :

On any given day you want to champion and look for avenues to further refine and evolve our engineering culture so we can keep moving, learning and creating the most value the fastest, with the least amount of effort

You relentlessly pursue avenues to address issues proactively, through ongoing refinement of the technical delivery model, while actively using your ability to foresee potential problems and directionally guide the team even when presented with only high-level symptoms

When need arises you want to roll up your sleeves to get into the technical weeds, you will examine existing designs and propose modern, meaningful, and cost-effective solutions, you will whiteboard solutions and debate them with senior developers, architects and business stakeholders

The role requires significant interaction with senior business and technology leadership, consequently effective communications commensurate with the audience and the ability to promote an idea and gain consensus is critical

You are able to take a vision statement or high-level problem and work with your team and various stakeholders to successfully execute against

Oversee the design, development, and deployment of advanced technology solutions :

Ensure the implementation of highly scalable, enterprise-level technology and tools to support the corresponding business and product.

Guarantee systems are aligned with the bank’s overall risk management strategy and regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with business units and leaders :

Lead execution against strategic plans and roadmaps for technology, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Promote innovation and efficiency :

Encourage the development and adoption of innovative technical solutions.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, driving efficiency and effectiveness for the business, using advanced technologies.

Build and maintain a high-performance environment :

Develop an inclusive and high-performing engineering culture, attracting, retaining, and motivating top.

Implement a people strategy that aligns with the bank’s values and business goals, ensuring effective succession planning and professional development for the team.

Ensure regulatory compliance and alignment :

Translate complex compliance and regulatory requirements into practical and cost-effective technology solutions

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have :

10+ years of software development experience with clear progression through ranks, and 3+ years leading and building high performance teams

Deep passion for software engineering and innovation coupled with a positive attitude, thirst for knowledge, team oriented, pragmatic, and willing to fail

Significant hands-on experience with multiple programing languages and SOLID principles adept, experience with a wide spectrum of technologies with emphasis on low latency, scalable, fault tolerant platforms / applications with 24-7 availability

Practical expertise on agile delivery with deep understating of core agile concepts and practices, you live and breathe DevOps

You are eager to mentor, teach, share and learn

STEM education, preferably Computer Science, Programming, Engineering or a related field
