We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join Prospera's team. The Business Analyst provides a superior level of service delivery as the primary contact between business units and information technology stakeholders. The successful candidate will be performing comprehensive systems analysis to determine current and future requirements, opportunities and priorities for internal customers.

What you'll do : Business Analysis

  • Provides expertise, consulting and proactively offers suggestions or potential solutions to assist internal customers streamline and improve existing processes; works one-on-one with and / or attends meetings to advise on technical aspect of business unit operations to establish business and technical direction.
  • Communicates with internal customers during development ensuring requirements continue to be met.
  • Oversees solution testing and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) with business users.
  • Documents user stories, business and functional requirements, test strategies, cases and results.
  • Applies Design Thinking method to understand problems and design solutions.

Cross Functional Agile Team / Community of Practice Member

  • Participates in organizational work in a leadership and / or participation role and completes all responsibilities assigned as required.
  • Works with the team to prioritize the backlog and plan sprints.
  • Assists in upskilling team members to perform junior analyst functions.
  • Contributing member of the Community of Practice for Business Analysis and Quality Assurance
  • What you bring : Education

  • Post-secondary diploma in a related discipline
  • Experience

  • 5-7 years experience in a similar role or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in Microsoft products with a focus on the technical and business uses of Office 365, Teams, and SharePoint (or intranets / work hubs) is required.
  • Experience in Datacenter Management, Networks (LANs / WANs), Servers (Unix / Windows), Database Administration (SQL / Oracle), IT Security, Telecom, Application Deployment and Support, Single Sign On (SSO), configuring / working with ServiceNow.
  • Experience in Financial Services, as well as the Certified Business Analysis Professional designation, are assets.
  • Licenses or Certifications

  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification is preferred.
