Job description

This busy oral surgery office is looking for a Sterilization Technician / Dental Assistant (to work 3 days a week with flexible scheduling from Monday to Friday. They foster a positive and cooperative environment where teamwork is essential and they prioritize worklife balance by not operating evenings or weekends.

In this role you will handle the decontamination inspection assembly packaging wrapping and sterilization of medical instruments and supplies including both simple and complex items. The position requires flexibility to drive between our clinics in Milton Burlington Oakville and Mississauga. Staff will be scheduled throughout these 5 clinics some clinics have multiple OR's and some are smaller clinics with just one OR. Staff can range between 520 in office depending on location

Schedule :

  • 3 days per week must be available any days between Monday and Friday
  • 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm
  • No Evenings / No Weekends

Compensation :

  • 19.53 / hr. This is a unionized workplace and rates of pay have already been negotiated in a Collective Agreement. (UFCW)

    • Requirement :

  • A "Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate" will be considered an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of Reprocessing in Dental Practice Settings Compliance as set by Ontario Public Health
  • Must be available to drive to all 5 locations (Milton Burlington Oakville and Mississauga)
  • Must be available to work any day Monday to Friday up to 3 days per week
  • Must have completed Public Health IPAC Reprocessing courses
