ROLEReporting to the Restaurant and Kitchen Manager, he / she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, bar and coffee counter, ensuring that the service standards set by Rimap and Marriott Hospitality Services are met and that customer expectations are exceeded. RESPONSABILITIESLead and manage on the floor, the restaurant service teams as well as the lounge bar and the hotel's Café counter;Ensure the smooth functioning of the operational and administrative needs of the sector in order to achieve the various performance indicators;Enforce hotel procedures and service standards on a daily basis;Participate in the development of employee schedules in compliance with the collective agreement;Support the Director in a number of operational and administrative tasks;Help develop action plans for different periods of the year;Be a leader and a positive role model for colleagues;Handle guest problems and react quickly and professionally;Have a thorough knowledge of all our products : dishes, spirits and wines;Plan and organize departmental meetings;Enforce food and beverage hygiene and safety policies (MAPAQ);Participate in various committees Other duties as assigned. COMPÉTENCES & QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of three years' experience in the food service industry, including supervisory and management experience, is required.Previous experience as a food and beverage manager in a unionized hotel, minimum 3 years;Previous management experience in a high-volume food service establishment, minimum 3 years;Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment;Knowledge of POS systems required;Hotel school diploma (restaurant management an asset);Autonomous leader with a strong sense of initiative;Excellent communication and organizational skills;Interpersonal and problem-solving skills;Particularly responsible and reliable; Ability to focus on guests' needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.Flexible schedule (day, evening, weekends and holidays);Bilingual French / English; French is the first language of welcome for our customers.
