Expeditor

Oakville, Ontario.

Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced Expeditor based in Oakville, Ontario, to join our client’s team. Our client is a global leader in wastewater technologies across various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expediting multiple projects simultaneously across various lifecycles; each with 20 - 100 purchase orders. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of orders, shipments, and communications with suppliers, ensuring accuracy and completeness of order documentation, identifying potential delays, and proactively addressing issues to maintain project timelines. This is a one-year contract opportunity (hybrid work schedule) available immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee 3 - 6 projects concurrently, each with 20 - 100 purchase orders. On average you will be working with 100 - 150 lines of data.
  • Manage the entire order lifecycle, from creation in SAP to delivery.
  • Expedite orders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project timelines.
  • Monitor and manage orders with attention to stringent requirements.
  • Create Purchase Orders in SAP.
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure clear communication and efficient order processing.
  • Process invoices accurately and efficiently, maintaining meticulous records.
  • Understand commercial terms relevant to interactions with suppliers.
  • Flag any issues related to commercial terms that may impact the order process.
  • Work with electrical items and parts within industries such as O&G, mining, industrial, and utilities.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of expediting experience, preferably in an EPC or OEM setting.
  • Proficient in SAP with a strong understanding of order management processes.
  • Strong Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Business, Supply Chain, etc.) preferred.
