Overview
Are you passionate about safety? Do you want to make a difference on a large scale? We are looking for Industry and Program Specialists with advanced experience in creating and implementing occupational health and safety programs and initiatives that prevent worker injury and disease.
How you'll make a difference : You'll work directly with industry associations, workers, Health & Safety Associations, Certifying Partners and / or other stakeholders to reduce risk and keep workplaces healthy and safe through consultation and education.
Where you'll work
At WorkSafeBC, we offer a model that combines the convenience of some remote work with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.
In this role, you'll work three or more days a week in your assigned office.
What you'll do
Engage with BC stakeholders to :
1) consult and work with industry associations, labour associations, and health and safety associations to develop innovative strategies, programs and resources to prevent workplace injury, disease, and death; and / or
2) provide education and support related to workplace health and safety matters with a focus on ensuring that employers can implement effective health and safety programs and that workers are aware of their rights and responsibilities.
