Technical Advisor, Mechanical, Energy Business

The Wärtsilä Energy Business – Canada team has a vacancy for a Technical Advisor, Mechanical .

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke engines.
  • Supervise and perform advanced mechanical, as well as some electronic & automation and system integration related troubleshooting on 4-stroke engines and ancillary equipment.
  • Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
  • Commissioning of service products and perform overhauls and maintenance activities together with customer mechanics on-site.
  • Onsite team leading and managing of the assigned team and related activities during overhauls.
  • Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
  • Responsible for creating the customer work orders and reports using customer CMMS.
  • Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
  • Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and / or internal stakeholders.
  • Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.
  • Provide operational support when required by customer.
  • Provide on-site trainings to the customer mechanics.
