Job Description

Our client in the industrial manufacturing space is looking for a technically knowledgeable and experienced person to work alongside as well as supervise a small team of technicians.

The ideal candidate will be someone who still likes to be on the tools, but also has the attitude and mentality to be a leader with the desire to grow the business and grow with the business.

You’ll be working on-site at their facility. This is a full time position, Monday to Friday working dayshift. Overtime will be on occasion and dependent on projects and business needs.

Compensation is competitive with earning potential ranging from $90K-$110K annually (based on experience and qualifications). Benefits, training and mentorship opportunities will be provided.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Oversee and manage the team of technicians and the division
  • Work in collaboration with other managers to strategize growth opportunities
  • Promote the business and foster relationships with existing clients and prospective clients
  • Scheduling and planning to manage shop and projects
  • Budgeting
  • Provide technical support, expertise, training and other resources to technicians
  • Troubleshooting and inspection of various electronic components including motors, submersible motors, and pumps
  • Mount motors and pumps to skids and pump packages
  • Electric motor repairs and rewinds
  • Provide support and knowledge to the sales team
  • Safety focused and promote that culture to the team
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices

Required Qualifications :

  • Electronic Motor Systems certification or Millwright trade ticket an asset (but not required)
  • Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and ideally working with electronic equipment including motors (doing motor rewinds) and pumps
  • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
  • Commissioning / QAQC
  • Ability to multitask is paramount and able to pick up new technologies quickly and subsequently train the technicians on them will be a huge asset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada
