Logistics Coordinator
Our client, an established logistics company is currently searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join
their team in the Halton region
Responsibilities :
- Negotiate freight rates with carriers for domestic and cross-border TL and LTL. All equipment’s and modes including temp-control
- Source carriers for all freight movements
- Track loads and provide customers with up-to-date information
- Manage and coordinate daily shipments with carriers and customer service team
- Liaise with customer service and carriers to facilitate their pickup and delivery appointments
- Work closely with customer service team to ensure smooth execution of all freight movements
- Respond quickly to spot quotes
- Ensure TMS contains current and complete data
- Be available after hours to assist with resolving issues
- Follow up on delivery delays or security issues
- Ensure closure of all orders in the TMS
- Grow and maintain existing and new carriers
- Preform work with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Provide carrier costing to Sr team for RFP’s and Bids
