Audio Visual Technician

Akkodis is seeking an Audio Visual Tech Lead for a Contract position with a client located in Winnipeg Manitoba. Ideally, the successful candidate with experience in implementing and installing audio-visual, such as video bars, cameras, microphones (table and ceiling), and touch panels with Experience with Video Conferencing vendors such as Logitech, and Cisco.

Job Description :

Assessing and implementing audio-visual systems tailored to client needs and room sizes

Performing installation and setup of AV equipment such as video bars, cameras, microphones (table and ceiling), touch panels

Configuring and testing AV equipment to ensure optimal performance

Provide technical support and training for users on AV system operation

Work with client’s IT staff to integrate AV systems into network infrastructure

Document inventory of AV equipment and accessories and system design

Staying up-to-date with the latest AV technologies and industry trends

Skills should include

Expertise in assessing meeting rooms and scoping the required components to ensure success video conferencing

Experience with Video Conferencing vendors such as Logitech, Cisco, Lenovo and Poly

Expertise in networking and IP-based AV solutions

Strong understanding of acoustics and lighting impacts in rooms

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Proven experience in video conferencing implementations

Comfortable working with cabling, wiring, and electrical systems

Ability to work with handheld tools (drills) and drywall repairs

Ability to lift heavy equipment such as TV’s (with assistance depending on size)

At Heights certification for climbing ladders

Project management skills and experience leading AV projects

Excellent communication skills with the ability to talk to non-technical users

Flexibility to travel to different sites for installations and support
