Job description

The Business Development Executive plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of MyHR in Canada during its critical second year of operations. This role is responsible for executing direct sales strategies, representing the company at events and building and leveraging a professional network, By identifying new business prospects, cultivating strong client relationships, and collaborating with internal teams, the Business Development Executive will be responsible for growing our client base and ensuring MyHR's continued success and market presence in Canada.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales :

  • Work collaboratively with the Country Manager to support the growth of MyHR in Canada by meeting sales objectives and targets.
  • Managing an end-to-end Business Development process including :
  • Utilise Hubspot database and marketing-sourced leads to generate new sales opportunities
  • Build long-term, trusting relationships with prospects to qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Build and nurture outbound opportunities
  • Scheduled and conducted sales meetings with prospective clients in a professional manner.
  • Develop and complete proposals for new business and present proposals to potential clients.
  • Identify sales opportunities and pain points, and tailor responses and proposals to fit
  • Manage objections tactfully and accurately
  • Close deals
  • Keep clear and concise notes detailing meetings and schedule future appointments with prospective clients.
  • Adopt Hubspot best practice methodology, including maintaining accurate and timely records.
  • Tactfully seek referrals from recently converted clients
  • Schedule and run in-person and online product demonstrations
  • Obtain feedback from clients who reject proposals and make note on what MyHR could have done to have achieved the sale.
  • Keep all lead statuses up-to-date for sales reporting.
  • Report tothe Head of Solutions NZ and Country Manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly results

Strategy :

  • Work with the NZ sales team and the Country Manager to refine the go-to-market strategy, ensuring it matches Canadian clients.
  • Identify best practices for Canada and constantly refine the company’s lead generation playbook.
  • Develop new initiatives for creating leads and increasing potential sales opportunities.
  • Brand Building :

  • Engage in brand-building activities such as attending events and trade shows and constantly networking.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Attend networking events and “spread the word” about MyHR.
  • Report to sales manager with weekly, monthly, and quarterly result
  • SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

    Experience with CRM software (Hubspot preferred but not required)

    A track record of delivering sales results

    Highly structured and organized with good process management skills

    Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

    An ability to engage and connect with a diverse range of people

    A drive for results and focus on doing what needs to get done

    Ability to learn on the fly, pick up new products and systems quickly, and adapt to new systems and processes

    Strong time management skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize workload

    A go-getter attitude and a growth mindset
