They have engaged ROSS ( to help them recruit Technical Consultants.QUALIFICATIONSUniversity Grad or up to two Years of work experienceYou are a real people person; you would love to interact with customers and you are not shy! You have excellent interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of common hardware environments and operating systems supported by our client’s products including Windows and UNIX.Working knowledge of data modeling such as ETL or star schema, and it helps if you've heard of Ralph Kimball!Experience using relational database technology such as DB2 or Oracle.Working knowledge of GUI technologies based on Java and .Net. Designs and authors help screens, menus, indices to ensure ease-of-use and consistency.Exposure to testing and validation techniques in software engineering.Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work independently and with a team.Ability to travel occasionally.RESPONSIBILITIES : Understands our client’s tools and technologies well and demonstrates effective use of them in a customer settingProvides solutions to problems assigned by the technical lead on the projectWorks well with the team in the project to meet the project objectivesCommunicates effectively with both the team members and customers both in the written and spoken formMakes effective use of the time to deliver a quality work product as agreed with the technical lead on the project.Performs good quality testing of the work product developedEscalates technical issues with the team leader for solutionProvides status on tasks assigned in the project to the tech lead and the project managerEnsure up-to-date knowledge in our client’s products and competitive solutions, through self-motivated approach to continuous learning.Actively participates in knowledge-sharing activities.Documents programs and program flows.Ensures that programming complies with available standards from our clientDevelops prototypes as required.Performs other duties as assigned.Nice to Have : 1-2 years of experience with RDBMS, data warehousing, analytics or Business Intelligence (BI) including any experience with any data warehousing or BI tools (e.G., Cognos, Informatica, Hyperion, SAS, Business Objects, Information Builders (IBI), Generation5, Angoss, Peregrine, g5, SPSS, Teradata, MicroStrategy, Netezza, ODESIA etc).If you're not interested, but know someone who is, please help a current or former colleague in their career development by referring them.
