This dynamic role will manage employee medical cases, including Workers' Compensation claims, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability claims;
sick calls, medical return to work and modified duties programs, and maintain employee attendance information at our Toronto site working on the grounds of the Toronto Pearson Airport.

The Medical Case Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for employees, managers, Workers' Compensation, and disability insurers on medical and attendance issues.
In this role, the Medical Case Manager will be responsible for : assessing and investigating all medical absences; proper categorization and tracking of absences;
managing all absences to case resolution; creating and managing return to work and modified duty programs; and providing metrics to the management team for auditing and trend analysis.
The Medical Case Manager will be responsible for meeting company, provincial and federal requirements relating to medical and attendance processes.
The Medical Case Manager will build relationships with managers, employers and human resources to create buy in regarding case management processes, management of the modified duties program, and return to work planning.
The Medical Case Manager will coach managers and employees as needed, per policies, regarding : the absence management and investigative process;
the overall business impact of unplanned labour loss; and the necessity for adherence to attendance policies through consistent communication of employee accountability.
The Medical Case Manager will understand relevant sections of the Collective Bargaining Agreements, Workers' Compensation and disability insurer policies, relevant government legislation such as the Ontario Human Rights Code, and Company procedures.
The Absence Case Manager will also build effective working relationships with other business units, including Union Representatives, Human Resources and others.

- 8-hour shift, typically the role will be Monday to Friday day shifts
- required to come in on weekends, holidays, afternoons and nights to meet the needs of our business
