Responsibilities

In this Accountant role in Mississauga, you will be responsible for the following :

  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances, providing insights to management.
  • Coordinate and support external audits and tax filings.
  • Manage inventory accounting and cost analysis.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of accounting procedures and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.

    • Qualifications

    We are looking for the following for this Accountant role located in Mississauga :

  • Minimum 2 years of accounting experience across all aspects of the function
  • A bachelor’s degree in either business administration or accounting.
  • Strong experience in reconciliations and month-end closing is required.
  • Experience working with MS Excel is a great asset.
