Webuild has won a new contract to deliver the Pape Tunnel and Underground Stations section of the Ontario Line and we are currently seeking a Property Coordinator.

The Property Coordinator will play a pivotal role in managing relationships with private property owners to secure Permission to Enter Agreements for technical investigations related to a major subway construction project. This position requires proactive collaboration with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate property access and ensure data collection aligns with project requirements.

This position is a full-time 100% onsite position at our downtown office.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Build and maintain relationships with private property owners to obtain limited property rights for project activities.
  • Attend public information meetings and participate in team and property owner meetings to provide updates and address inquiries.
  • Negotiate Permission to Enter Agreements, addressing owner concerns to achieve mutual agreements and identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Review property impact plans, maps, and reports to assess impacts and determine required actions.
  • Document all activities to secure necessary property rights and maintain compliance with client requirements.
  • Work closely with external consultants to coordinate surveys and inspections.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of project-specific property details.
  • Collaborate with the Community Engagement Team to initiate contact and follow-up with property owners.
  • Manage documents to ensure accurate retention and delivery.
  • Respond promptly to property-related inquiries and provide detailed information to stakeholders.
  • Interpret property drawings to explain alignment and impacts to owners and clients.
  • Update and manage the Property Lands Table and completed necessary reports as required.
  • Site visits as required
  • Other tasks assigned by the Property and Lands Manager as needed.

Required Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in right-of-way management for large-scale public infrastructure projects in a civil design or property coordination role.
  • At least 2 years of experience in property coordination or progressive roles in real estate, property, or project management.
  • Proficiency in interpreting property drawings for linear infrastructure projects (preferred but not essential).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated client-focused approach and ability to thrive in collaborative environments with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills (oral and written).
  • Membership in IRWA or PMP designation is preferred.
  • University or college degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to navigate complex property negotiations with professionalism.
  • Strong knowledge of property agreements, including Permission to Enter and encroachment agreements.
  • Capability to identify and implement mitigation measures for property-related issues.
