Job Description

OVERALL :

This role requires managing the planning, reporting, forecasting, and executive decision-making support for the Life Sciences Segment (LSS) business of ATS. ATS being a publicly listed company, and LSS represents a sizeable part of the total ATS revenue.

The Manager, FP&A would play a key role in coordinate with different divisions within the LSS business with an international footprint with teams in Canada, US, and multiple locations in Europe. The role involves leading directly or indirectly other finance team members within the group.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Analysis of Life Sciences Segment’s division performance including those of divisions within the business segment
  • Consolidation of segment results, both financial and operational on a monthly basis
  • Assisting in Command and Control for the segment including investment decisions, business plan review, annual operating plan preparation etc.
  • Implementing the best practices in the divisions
  • Assisting in all ad hoc projects
  • Review and analyze the results and propose methods to monitor costs better
  • Review business models for each revenue stream and identify key drivers
  • Review business models, identify key drivers for each division, define measurement system and monitor performance of each division
  • Work with the other members of the Finance team on special projects.
  • Perform benchmarking with internal and external data
  • Assist in special projects, internal audits, treasury, etc. as required.
  • Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
  • Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
  • Follow and implement ATS Finance controls, policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education :

  • A university degree or college diploma in business and / or accounting or equivalent business experience is required.
  • Experience :

  • At least 5 years of experience in planning and analysis role and / or support of operations
  • Strong analytical, financial and accounting skills, as well as an ability to significantly contribute to the management of the company are key. Significant budgeting and forecasting experience is an asset.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and guidance in a team oriented environment is mandatory.
  • Individual must have an ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels within and outside of the organization, both orally and in writing. And to be able to coordinate with executives and senior leaders across geographies.
  • Individual must be hands-on, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Presentation and ERP system (preferably JD Edwards) is required
