About the Hotel :

DoubleTree by Hilton Montreal Pointe-Claire : The DoubleTree by Hilton Pointe-Claire is a 311-room full-service hotel, owned and operated by Easton’s Group of Hotels.

Its landmark property has the ideal combination of a suburban hotel with the convenience of an airport nearby. It features a restaurant, Marquis Bar & Grill, Lounge, Room Service and 14 meeting rooms.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Directly assist as required to the Controller and the Assistant Controller.
  • Verify / correct the audit prepared by the night auditor.
  • Balance all departments’ transactions from previous day.
  • Prepare DRR and DSR on a daily basis.
  • Make collection calls;
  • Compile and balance the credit card vouchers for direct deposit;
  • Prepare daily invoicing on a timely basis to ensure collection of accounts within 30 days;
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts;
  • Answer guests’ inquiries;
  • Set up billing requests;
  • Open accounts, reference for credits;
  • Control all advance deposits and follow up;
  • Inform management of the status of the accounts as required.
  • Other duties may be added associated with accounting as required by the company.

JOB REQUIREMENTS :

  • Experience in Accounting or hotel industry;
  • Accounting education an asset;
  • Excellent organizational skills and communication skills;
  • Multitasking;
  • Excellent computer skills;
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management and staff in a professional manner.
  • Bilingual : French and English
