Job descriptionDemonstrated industry-related experience in a safety role Excellent knowledge of the road transportation industry regulations, occupational safety standards, highway traffic and Hours of Service regulations NATMI CDS or similar industry certification preferred Fast-paced environment Some non-standard work hours and travel throughout Armour’s terminal network High volume of communication, including email, phone, text, and meetings Prepare and present presentations to both small and large groups Ability to analyze data for reporting and trending purposes Computer Literacy with Microsoft Office and TMW Applications
Safety Manager
Armour is currently recruiting a Safety Manager in Moncton, New Brunswick, located at our office on English Drive. The Safety Manager will manage the day-to-day Safety initiatives and promote Safety Culture for Armour Transportation systems.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Work closely with Operations Management on safety related activities
- Promote Safety Culture across the organization
- Driver / Employee Orientations, coaching, and Safety Training
- Safe Behaviour Observation programs (Field Audits)
- Promote and ensure compliance to OH&S regulations and practices
- Incident Investigations and root cause analysis
- KPI reporting and communication of corrective actions and learnings
- Day-to-Day managing of assigned employees
- Other assigned duties
