We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager for a client of ours who is a leader in manufacturing continuous
mining and bulk material handling solutions. The Construction Manager has overall responsibility for the day to day
management of the complete project construction and must be competent in managing the seven aspects of a project, i.e. scope, schedule, finance, contract, risk & opportunity, quality and resources in accordance with the Contract, Client Requirements and company processes and procedures.

Management of Health and Safety on SiteDevelop Project Construction Execution Planning and produce a project Schedule in conjunction with the Project Planner (WBS Coded and Baselined).Implement the WBS & Baseline to represent to As-Sold scopeUnderstand the Project Budget (WBS Coded) and baseline in accordance with the As-Sold Sales Cost Sheet.Budget Management and AdministrationContract Management (in conjunction with Project Manager / Contract Manager)Change Management etc.Manage Client RelationshipsStakeholder ManagementEvaluate project performance, progress and implement corrective actions if / where requiredManaging of Project Construction RisksCoordination of Project TeamCoordination and Management of Sub-ContractorsManage all project construction resourcesProject Risk ManagementProject Communication ManagementDocumentationMeetings (Internal / External)Commercial CommunicationQualifications
5-10 years project management Experience (PMP University Engineering Degree advantageous).Background A background in Mining and Materials handling is advantageous and within the EPC environment for international project execution.Construction planning and Management Experience and expertise in planning and managing complex industrial construction projects, including heavy transportation, heavy lifting, and multi-faceted construction activities, ensuringefficiency and seamless coordination across all operations.
Industry knowledge : The ability to understand the specific needs and challenges of the specific bulk materials handling and mining sector, such as customer expectations by geography, environmental regulations, safety standards, and market trends (new technologies / AI).Delivery time management : The ability to plan, control, and optimize the times required for the procurement of the goods and services whilst ensure their quality.Project management : The ability to plan, execute, monitor, and close industrial projects of different sizes, scopes, and complexities, and ensure they meet the customer’s requirements and expectations.Contract Management : Client Contract and Sub-Contract Management.Leadership and communication : The ability to lead, motivate, and empower the project and supply chain teams, set clear goals and expectations, provide feedback and coaching, and resolve conflicts. The ability to communicate effectively andpersuasively with different stakeholders, such as customers, suppliers, internal senior management, and other departments / organizations involved in the project execution.
Decision making and problem solving : The ability to make sound and timely decisions based on data, analysis, and intuition gathered by the project monitoring, and take full responsibility for the project outcomes. This includes the ability to identify and define problems, generate, and evaluate alternative solutions, and implement the best course of corrective actions.Negotiation skills : meaning the ability to negotiate effectively and fairly with different parties, such as customers, suppliers, contractors, and regulators, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.Technical skills : The ability to use various tools and technologies to support the project and supply chain management, such as project management software, supply chain management software, quality management software, and data analysis and reporting software, or integrated with the companies ERP landscape.Summary
