The Opportunity :

Our client is looking for a  Commercial Automobile Fleet Underwriter  with a strong understanding of long-haul trucking risks.

The role is 100% remote, however, there is a requirement to visit broker’s offices within Alberta, therefore the position should be held within or close to Calgary or Edmonton.

About You :

You are a self-motived individual with the following requirements :

• Post-secondary education and / or equivalent on-the-job experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in commercial auto fleeting underwriting
• Working knowledge of underwriting techniques, guidelines, rating programs, risk information sources, coverages, underwriting / technical manual information, statutory constraints, and computer workflow procedures
• Valid driver's license (Class 5)
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Knowledge of Guidewire, RTM, Passport is an asset
• CIP designation or working towards completing CIP courses
• Performs well in a busy and dynamic environment
• Team player adaptable to a changing environment
• Focus on broker and customer needs, ensuring high-quality service and long-term problem-solving
• Commitment to ongoing professional and technical development
• Commitment to high standards of performance and achieving goals
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage priorities
