We are currently seeking an Estimator to join our talented team. If you thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and enjoy coming up with creative solutions, we want to hear from you!

Role Overview :

As an Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our clients receive beautiful, functional outdoor living designs that align with their budgets. You will work closely with our Sales Team, Draftspeople, and Project Managers to develop accurate and efficient project estimates that lay the groundwork for a smooth construction phase. This role reports to the Exterior Design & Estimating Manager.

Scope of Work :

  • Create detailed project estimates using in-house systems.
  • Complete customer contracts and specifications.
  • Collaborate with the Project Developer on design concepts based on client needs, wants, and budgets.
  • Work with subcontractors and carpenters to define scopes of work and material specifications.
  • Review architectural plans, specifications, and project scopes to provide accurate cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with the drafting team to ensure design plans and 3D renders are aligned with project goals.
  • Collaborate with drafting team to ensure construction plans are complete and accurate.
  • Conduct material quantity take-offs and source materials.
  • Evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers to manage costs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Assist in material ordering and complete project hand-off packages for construction.
  • Conduct occasional site assessments and measurements.
  • Work with the Project Manager to manage change orders during construction.

    • Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of estimating experience in residential construction.
  • Interior / Exterior design experience is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction materials and methods.
  • Familiarity with implementing the National Building Code of Canada as well as the MasterFormat for commercial / industrial specifications.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and Google Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiar with material takeoffs and cost control practices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and negotiation skills.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant field is a plus.
  • Experience estimating interior remodeling projects (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms, whole house) is an asset.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
