Alstar Group is seeking B Pressure Welders to work in our Calgary Shop (8700 Venture Ave SE - not transit-accessible). Reporting to the department supervisor, the successful candidates will :
- Fabricate pipe and pressure vessels in accordance with ASME SEC III Div 1 Pressure Vessels & B31.1 Power Piping and B31.3 Process Piping codes
- Ensure production timelines are met and components are shipped on time
- Fabricate components to exact design specifications
- Read, understand and follow all Safe Work Practices and Procedures for machinery and equipment
- Follow existing work standards and look for further improvements
- Must be able to work in a team environment

Requirements
In this role, the successful candidates will have :
At least 3 years of experience in B-level welding and fitting, specifically for pressure vessels and pipe spool fabrication.Skilled in welding techniques using GMAW (MIG) and SMAW (stick) processes.Capable of accurately fitting and welding socket, butt joints, and threaded piping.Must possess personal welding tools and have reliable transportation.CSTS-09 / 2020 or Energy Safety Canada Common Safety Orientation (CSO) ticket is mandatoryAbility to read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and weld symbolsThe ability to use tools & equipment safely and abide by the health and safety rulesExcellent communication skillsWorking Conditions
