The company :

SGS Sports is a swimwear company based in Montreal, Canada. The company has been the Body Glove swimwear licensee since 1984 and markets its own swimwear brands Eidon and SKYE.

Job summary :

The Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and driving the overall marketing strategy for our brands. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual to oversee brand evolution, manage a diverse team, and ensure all marketing initiatives are executed to the highest standard.

We are looking for a strategic and creative leader with exceptional organizational and communication skills.

The individual will be reporting to the President and will have four direct reports : 2 x graphic designer, 1 x marketing specialist, 1 x eCommerce and digital marketing manager.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lead and manage a marketing team of 4
  • Ensure the consistency and evolution of brand identities
  • Oversee and allocate the marketing budget (yearly planning + monthly re-forecast as required)
  • Plan, coordinate and attend local and overseas photoshoots (eCom and campaign) for all three brands
  • Develop bespoke trade marketing strategies for key partners
  • Create and manage all visual assets for trade shows and attend events providing support for the sales team
  • Drive eCommerce strategies, driving UX improvements and CRO through A / B testing and data-driven decisions
  • Direct the creation and implementation of engaging content strategies across platforms
  • Lead and optimize digital paid campaigns across multiple channels through various objectives
  • Develop PR strategies to enhance brand visibility, establish media relationships, and drive positive public perception
  • Oversee the design and optimisation of marketing catalogues
  • Collaborate closely with sales, design / product development, and logistics teams to align marketing strategies with business goals
  • Measure and report on KPIs to track the effectiveness of marketing efforts and identify areas for improvement
  • Other ad hoc duties as they arise from project to project

Requirements :

  • Expertise in social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, and more) and paid advertising strategies
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce best practices, including UX optimization, A / B testing, CRO, and analytics-driven decision-making
  • Proficiency with marketing tools like Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Omnisend, and more
  • Skilled in developing and managing influencer and affiliate marketing programs, including partnership building
  • Proven ability to plan and execute medium-sized photoshoot productions, overseeing creative direction and team coordination
  • Experience in budgeting and financial planning within a marketing department
  • Strong eye for detail and ability to deliver a cohesive aesthetic aligned with brand identity
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams and with external partners
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, including 3+ years managing a team
  • Fully bilingual (French and English)
  • Willingness to travel frequently (6+ times / year)
  • Experience in the fashion or sports industry is a plus
