Our amazing community-driven client is looking to bring on a Controller for their family owned business based in Grande Prairie, AB. This business is not just ‘service providers’; they’re your neighbours, friends, and proud supporters of your community.

This integral new hire will have a collaborative mindset, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive working within a tight knit team. Ideally they will be a designated CPA and bring strong fundamental knowledge of full cycle accounting, payroll, budgeting and financial reporting.

As always, a positive attitude with an “all hands on deck” mentality is the key to being successful within this organization.

Duties and Responsibilities :

The key job functions are :

Performing full cycle accounting, budgeting and financial reporting
Processing payroll and employee benefits
Human resources administration and new hire onboarding
Compiling and submitting necessary financials for year end audits
Other responsibilities as needed

Education :

Post-secondary education in Business Administration majoring in accounting or a related field

CPA designation

Qualifications :

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

High proficiency in MS

Experience with PayWorks

Experience with ERP softwares

Experience :

Minimum years of experience in full cycle accounting, payroll, budgeting and financial reporting

Service industry experience is preferred

Previous experience managing the financials for multiple companies is considered an asset

Skills :

Confident, positive and approachable personality

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

High attention to detail and organization

Problem solver with the ability to make informed decisions and think critically

Strong collaborator, keen to contribute their part to the company’s success

Tech savvy in nature

Base Salary : $, – $, per year

This position is not remote and required to be on-site.
