Position : Senior Director of Information SecurityLocation : 100% Remote (Ontario or Quebec) About the Role : Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Director of Information Security to lead our comprehensive enterprise security strategy. In this role, you will identify security gaps, develop long-term security roadmaps, and communicate effectively with Board members and C-level executives. Your expertise in risk management, compliance, and incident response will be instrumental in managing security risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and implementing proactive measures to mitigate emerging threats, particularly those related to AI. You will oversee business continuity and disaster recovery planning, ensuring operational resilience. Additionally, you will build and lead a high-performing security team, fostering a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities : Develop and execute a robust enterprise security strategy to address current and future challenges.Identify security risks across applications, infrastructure, data, and assets, and implement mitigation strategies.Build long-term security roadmaps to address identified security gaps.Ensure compliance with GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2, and other relevant regulations through audits and compliance frameworks.Lead and manage incident response processes, ensuring minimal impact on business operations.Oversee and enhance business continuity and disaster recovery plans to ensure operational resilience.Communicate complex technical challenges effectively to Board and C-level stakeholders, translating them into actionable business contexts.Manage and mentor a high-performing security team to achieve organizational goals. Qualifications : 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate security risks effectively.Strong Board and C-level communication skills, with experience translating technical challenges into business strategies.Extensive knowledge of GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2, and related regulations, with a history of leading audits and implementing compliance frameworks.Proven experience in developing and executing security roadmaps.Prior experience managing and leading teams.Preferred certifications : CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or CISM (Certified Information Security Manager). Work Arrangement : This position is fully remote, open to candidates located in Ontario or Quebec.
