Senior Architectural Designer

Job Description : Sky Sight Inc. is looking for a talented and detail-oriented individual for the firm's Senior Architectural Designer role (Full-time, Permanent). As a Senior Architectural Designer, you will work on variety of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects.Key Responsibilities : Develop, coordinate, and manage architectural drawings and documentation using Revit and CAD softwareCollaborate with team members to create accurate and detailed design solutionsEnsure adherence to local building codes, industry standards, and client requirementsProvide mentorship, supervision, and technical support to architectural designers, technologists, and other team members, as requiredCoordinate with consultants, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve design and technical challengesMaintain and update project files, libraries, and templatesRequirements : An accredited Diploma or Degree in Architecture or Architectural TechnologyMinimum of 5+ years industry experience at an Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) firm working with the Ontario Building Code (OBC)Expert knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk Revit (BIM)Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) parts 3 & 9 and construction detailingExperience preparing highly-detailed construction documentation for single and multi-family residential dwellings, as well as, small-scale commercial and mixed-use projectsHighly proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, File Management, and Project Management toolsExcellent communication and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyWillingness to work flexible hours (including evenings and weekends, if required)Assets : Current member of Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario (AATO) and / or Ontario Association of Architects (OAA)Completion of Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) Building Code Identification Number (BCIN) Examinations : House, Small Buildings, and LegalExperience in photorealistic 3D Rendering using Epic Games TwinmotionExperience with Autodesk AEC Collection (AutoCAD, ReCap Pro, Navisworks, Civil3D, etc.)Experience working with LiDAR point cloud data and 3D photogrammetry models (reality capture) of buildings and sitesExperience conducting site visitsExperience with Adobe Photoshop and LightroomAbout Us : Sky Sight Inc. is an innovative fast-growing start-up providing professional building design, building measurements, geospatial, surveying, and consulting services for the AEC sector, utilizing the latest technologies.
