The Office of the Registrar at U of T Mississauga delivers registrarial services to support U of T Mississauga's academic goals and U of T priorities in the areas of student information, interpretation of policies, and innovation of registrarial interactions. Our core mission is effective and sustainable strategic enrolment management : student recruitment, retention, success and graduation. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Academic Advising Services, the Academic Advisor provides academic advising services to undergraduate students, assisting them in making decisions affecting their academic progress at U of T Mississauga from enrolment through to graduation. Keeping within the goals and objectives of the Office of the Registrar, the Advisor provides clear, concise and informative communications concerning student enrolment and registration policies and procedures, applying proactive and relevant strategies that focus on retention and graduation.
The Academic Advisor assists students with a wide range of academic issues and concerns, including interpretation of University requirements, policies and procedures, selection of courses and programs and meeting degree requirements. The Advisor directs students requiring specialized services to other student service areas such as Accessibility Services, the International Education Centre, Health and Counselling Centre, Career Centre, the Academic Skills Centre, etc. The work of the Advisor is accomplished through individual in-person, virtual and electronic interactions as well as group advising sessions, workshops and webinars.
The Academic Advisor works as a collaborative member of the academic advisingteam assisting with balancing the advising work schedule and supporting the work of the team and the Office of the Registrar as a whole. The Advisor contributes to the development of enhanced services for students to promote retention and improve the overall student experience.

USW Pay Band 12 $79,874. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $102,147. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation / Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
