WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As a General Manager, you will report to the COO and be responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of Barnet, our Canadian SAAS Solutions Provider. Responsibilities include managing resources, assuming a strategic role, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s objectives and initiatives. The candidate is expected to rapidly diagnose challenges, prioritize them effectively, and implement solutions and, in addition, must be able to :

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on long-term planning and business development
  • Assume an active role on the management team
  • Manage day-to-day operations and accountability for the business
  • Establish a highly motivational work environment
  • Initiate and implement innovative changes
  • Ensure all operational practices and policies are clear and integrated successfully with the larger organization
  • Assist with the management of budgets and forecasts and identify new revenue opportunities
  • Provide regular reporting and analytics to drive decision-making
  • Ensure effective onboarding of merchants
  • Develop strong relationships with key partners where appropriate
  • Build cross-functional relationships within the team while ensuring the KORT values are embraced

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Exceptional and proven leadership skills and project management skills
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in a leadership role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field is a strong asset
  • A strong background in business operations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience overseeing and coordinating matrix and dotted-line reporting structures
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and drive results
  • Ability to balance big picture details with day-to-day tactical operation
  • Experience working with in-store POS systems is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a technology company where software development is a core activity for the business
