Electrical Designer / Engineer

For 36 years, Sabre has been integrating PLCs, DCS panels, RTU Panels, Purge Panels, Power Distribution Panels, and Custom Enclosures. The Electrical Integration team has evolved into custom switchgear manufacturing, protection and controls, skid-mounted electrical equipment integration, and mobile substation.

We are committed to delivering innovative and high-quality solutions to our clients across various industries. Due to expansion, we are looking for talented and experienced Electrical Designers / Engineers, ideally with switchgear, to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and Development : Create detailed designs for switchgear systems, including circuit breakers, relays, and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Technical Analysis : Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate designs and ensure optimal performance and reliability of switchgear systems.
Collaboration : Work closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel, to ensure designs meet project specifications and requirements.
Documentation : Prepare and maintain design documentation, including specifications, engineering drawings, and design reports. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with quality standards.
Testing and Validation : Develop test plans and procedures for switchgear products, conduct tests, and analyze results to confirm that designs meet performance criteria and safety standards.
Customer Interaction : Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide technical support during the design and implementation phases of projects.
Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost reductions in switchgear products.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure that all designs meet relevant industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, EET or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical design, with switchgear

Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar tools) and simulation software (e.g., MATLAB, PSCAD).

Strong understanding of electrical principles, power distribution systems, and relevant industry standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
