Your work environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Environmental team, based in Burnaby office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Independently managing a variety of environmental investigation projects (Phase I, II ESA’s / Stage 1, 2 PSIs II, Detailed Site Investigation, Remediation);
- Project planning, implementation, coordinating fieldwork (in town and out of town);
- Review of project budgets, expenses to ensure good project performance;
- Preparation and review of reports for due diligence investigations, and submissions to the BC Ministry of Environment & Climate Change Strategy for instruments (COC, AiP, Determination);
- Proposal preparation for a variety of clients, demonstrated skills and abilities to develop positive business relationships with clients;
- Management of provincial and / or federal contaminated sites assessments, site remediation, some risk assessments (human or ecological);
- Supervision of junior and intermediate professionals.
- Experience with hazardous material surveys / mitigation projects is considered an asset.
What your experience looks like
- Minimum of 10 years of environmental consulting experience in BC. Candidates with additional experience will be considered.
- University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or Geoscience
- Professional status or designation (., .,
- Team player
- Demonstrated experience in Project management on a variety of small, medium and large projects;
- The ability to deal tactfully and effectively with clients and co-workers
- Ability to work effectively in a high demand, fast paced environment
- Must have a valid driver’s license and own vehicle
- Strong written and communication skills
- Business development skills
The salary range for this role is between $104,000 to $138,000. The actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
