With a staff of 14,000, the Toronto Catholic is a dynamic school board and is seeking an Architectural Supervisor.
About the TCDSB Asset Management and Renewal Department
Our department is responsible for the stewardship of hundreds of millions of dollars of new Capital construction, designed to support student learning and promote student success. We work with students and families, teachers and staff, consultants, and contractors to provide safe, sustainable, and supportive environments for learning. The team is responsible for managing the design and construction of all new schools, building additions, childcare centres and outdoor learning spaces. We work to create responsive learning environments that engage and care for students and provide opportunities that inspire curiosity, reflection, collaboration, lifelong learning, and leadership.
Many of our staff are licensed members of the Ontario Association of Architects and support the OAA’s role in promoting public appreciation of architecture and the allied arts and sciences, by promoting and improving public institutional architecture through the design of our schools. We work with some of Canada’s most renowned architects, and we share our diverse experience in order to continually improve our built environments.

NOTE : ThispositionrequirestravellingtoTCDSBsitesonaregularbasis.Theincumbent must have access to a vehicle and a valid Ontario driver’s license (eligibility for mileage reimbursement). Requires wearing of appropriate and current safety equipment (safety shoes, hard hat) for TCDSB construction sites. Thepositionmayrequirecall-outbeyondregularworkday / weekscheduledueto emergencies, or necessity to participate in a rotating call-out schedule.
