Civil Structural Engineer

Location : Vancouver, BC

Salary : $120,000 – $150,000 (negotiable based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a Mid to Senior Structural Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design and analysis of industrial facilities , including manufacturing plants, refineries, oil & gas structures, mining facilities, and heavy industrial buildings . This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to contribute to large-scale projects, lead technical teams, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze steel, concrete, and foundation systems for industrial structures.
• Perform structural assessments and prepare engineering reports.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and EITs, providing technical guidance.
• Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Conduct seismic analysis, wind load calculations, and foundation designs for heavy industrial structures.
• Prepare and review technical drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Ensure compliance with Canadian (CSA, NBCC) and US (AISC, ACI, ASCE) building codes .
• Provide construction support, including reviewing submittals, RFIs, and performing site visits.

Qualifications & Experience

5+ years of structural engineering experience, preferably in industrial facility design .

Professional Engineer ( P.Eng. ) designation in BC (or eligibility for registration) .

Strong knowledge of structural steel, reinforced concrete, and foundation design .

Experience with SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, SAFE, or similar software .

Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla Structures is a plus.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
