Working collaboratively with leadership and other key stakeholders, they will develop an integrated communications plan that supports the CCA's goals and values and will communicate it effectively across extensive networks. The position balances the CCA's multiple commitments to provide broad access to specialized publics as a research institution with building brand awareness and visibility globally.
Required qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's degree, communications, journalism, public relations, Art or Architecture History or related field, education or training related to communications and strategies.
- Experience : 10 years of progressive relevant experience in the field of communications ideally focused on arts and culture. Competencies include strategic thinking, people management, project planning.
- Ability to work in both English and French.
- Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and measuring success of integrated communication plans for multiple audiences.
- Experience with staff supervision and team leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in issues management and crisis communications.
- Proven ability to connect and build partnerships with public authorities and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing communication technologies and trends.
- Demonstrated experience with media outlets including issuing press releases.
- Strong background in digital and traditional marketing methods with the ability to think broadly and creatively in their application.
- Extensive experience in writing communications, advertising, and marketing materials, including materials suitable for current or potential donors.
- Experience working with a graphic design team to produce promotional, marketing, in-house infographic, and wayfinding material.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Experience managing budgets associated with events, and freelance contractors.
- Excellent human relationship skills including the ability to develop and maintain constructive relationships with other staff and key stakeholders.
- Experience with social media networks and tools.
- International experience in a similar role an asset.
