Job description

The Assistant Brand Manager will support the Brand Manager in the development and management of key brands in the company’s portfolio. The person in this role will contribute to the implementation of marketing strategies, analyze market data, and participate in key projects to strengthen brand awareness. This role is ideal for an organized, analytical individual with a passion for marketing in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Brand Strategy Support :

  • Collaborate with the Brand Manager to develop marketing strategies aimed at achieving growth and brand awareness objectives.
  • Participate in planning and executing marketing initiatives, including advertising campaigns, promotions, and digital activities.

Marketing Project Management :

  • Coordinate the implementation of marketing projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
  • Oversee collaborations with external agencies for content creation, visuals, and advertising campaigns.
  • Participate in product launches by managing operational steps such as packaging development and communication tools.
  • Performance Analysis and Monitoring :

  • Analyze brand performance using sales data, market studies, and analytical tools (e.g., Nielsen, IRI).
  • Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide recommendations to optimize results.
  • Conduct competitive intelligence to identify market opportunities and anticipate trends.
  • Daily Operational Management :

  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, R&D, production) to ensure project alignment and quality.
  • Participate in the development of promotional materials (brochures, product sheets, online ads).
  • Support the Brand Manager with administrative marketing tasks, including budget and supplier management.
  • Job Requirements : Education :

  • University degree in marketing, communication, business administration, or related field.
  • Work Experience :

  • Approximately 3 years of experience in a similar marketing role, ideally in the food industry or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods).
  • Skills and Qualifications :

  • Strong understanding of brand management principles and strategic marketing.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Familiarity with digital campaign management tools (Google Ads, Meta Ads) and analytical platforms.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP or CRM tools is a plus (e.g., SAP, Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of the specifics of the Canadian and Quebec markets (e.g., consumer behavior, labeling regulations).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
