We are current looking for Mental Health Workers who are able to be available on a casual basis at our sites within New Westminster, Burnaby and / or Coquitlam.

Reporting to the Manager of Care, the Mental Health Worker is responsible for assisting and supporting residents with mental health concerns to live in the community. This includes leaning about life skills enhancement, housekeeping, shopping, cooking, and meeting the resident's goals in their Recovery Plan. The position requires administration of medications, documentation and following policies and procedures for the facility.

Qualifications Required :

• Secondary School Graduation
• Mental Health Worker or PSR certificate or the equivalent of education and experience
• One year of recent direct experience working as a mental health worker
• Speak, read and write English fluently
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
• Food Safe Certificate
• Current CPR and First Aid Certificates
• Drivers License and Vehicle is an asset
• Recent Enhanced Criminal Record Check

This is an unionized position with a $27.92 to $29.60 hourly wage
