Milk River Elementary School is a K-5 school that will soon amalgamate with Erle Rivers High School, once this has happened the new name will be Milk River Ridge School.
Milk River Elementary School’s 14 employees currently provide educational services to approximately 80 students from Milk River and area.
The school is a collaborative environment where support staff are encouraged to share his / her insight into student learning.
Milk River Elementary School is currently seeking a dedicated educational assistant who fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The role will encompass guiding students in self-regulation strategies, working closely with teachers to address behavioural issues, and collaborating to keep students focused on their work.

As part of the Milk River Elementary School team, support staff will be required to : - Assist the students with the completion of coursework and assignments.
- Help each student participate and succeed.- Work with teachers to keep students on task and focused on their work.- Help students with hygiene and toileting habits.
- Work with OT, PT, and SLP to implement strategies for student success.- Work with teachers and the LST to implement individualized strategies from ISPs and behaviour plans.
- Deal with behavioural issues.- Help students use their self-regulation strategies. - Take part in professional development.
